I was at the YMCA recently lifting weights. I was grunting and groaning trying to raise some obnoxiously heavy bar bell when I noticed an elderly gentleman working out next to me. I jumped at the opportunity to comment with my usual YMCA joke, “It’s not easy being a sex symbol.”
There’s probably not been a single week in my life that I didn’t get some kind of bad news. Thank goodness, most of the time it’s not that important. But even inconsequential news has a tendency to create stress, angst and fear. We’ve all have had many a day ruined over trivial problems.
My friends and family jokingly call me “Dr. Neill” because I attempt to diagnose everyone’s illnesses with Google. (In my defense, WebMD can be pretty darned helpful sometimes).
Recently I posted a blog, “Steve Jobs was a jerk,” where I proclaimed Jobs was so self-centered and obnoxious that if he worked for me I would have fired him. At that time I had read the first few chapters of the Steve Jobs book by Walter Isaacson and was disgusted by his hateful personality….
I was comparing all of our client’s Google Analytics recently, looking for trends. I discovered that on average, 25% of all their organic website traffic is referred straight from Linkedin!!
