We were retained by Vulcan Materials to develop a social media strategy that would assist them with their employee recruitment efforts. Vulcan is an incredible place to work, with a very high percentage of long-term employees. However, they wanted some assistance getting the word out on all that they offer employees.
Since they are a company that “breaks big rocks into little rocks” (how they wryly describe their business), we created a branding theme for them called appropriately “Vulcan Rocks”. We branded their blog, Facebook Fan page, and Twitter account with this new logo and theme, and we spend our time engaging with potential employees, and sharing company information that showcases their awesome work environment. We also spend quite a bit of time re-purposing content that is of interest to jobseekers, since that is our campaign’s primary demographic.
